My New Computer

Since my last update, I got some more computer parts! These include:

These adorable speakers came from goodwill for $5. Inside were batteries labeled "use by 96". A sprate box tends preform better than an all-in-one conglomerate. Just by being dedicated these things make better sound than the laptop's built-ins. Plus I can put them where ever I want in case I want to listen to the left. Next I get power supplies for the amplifiers. Still I can only use the one speaker until I get a way to split the audio signal in two.

The HDMI cable was the single missing piece for activating the second monitor. Now between my laptop (pico) and my usb hub (mysterious box) I get: a mouse and keyboard, two displays, cute audio, plus a couple more ports for external storage. I have reached the point I no longer engage with any of the laptop itself apart from its actual computer components. All this power and data flowing though a single thunderbolt cable amazes me.

Efficency And Longevity

Every part except my laptop and my drawing tablet was used by someone else. The keyboard came from a recycling center, the mouse a gift, some cables from goodwill. E-waste is a manufactured problem.
